Bound by Prophecy (Prophecy #3) by Stevie J. Cole *Blog Tour*

Gavin Hunter had said Brooke Davis belonged only to him, but he had no idea exactly how true that statement was. The moment he plummeted from grace he bound himself to her and created a need for her to exist. For three-thousand years he had been able to resist the urge to take an unmarked mortal’s life, but he lost all control when he fell for Brooke. Out of rage Gavin broke an agreement that was never be broken and set a series of events in motion that nothing could stop.

Brooke would be forced to witness things that would test her love for Gavin. Could she accept the fact that the “man” she’d fallen in love with was the very creature that had damned mankind, seduced sin from woman’s heart, and who was also a murderer of innocence?

Hunted by demons, sought after by the devil; Gavin would do anything to protect her – even if it meant the entire world would be slaughtered to keep her hidden. Being forced to fight his internal demon, he would learn just how tempting Brooke was and would have to learn to control his innate need to kill.

An eternal creature faced with an end. A mortal trapped by fear and love. Two souls bound by a prophecy that only one person knew the ending to. They say love has waged many wars, but the battle stemming from the love Gavin and Brooke shared was one that would bring death, destruction, and eternal night to everything in existence.

I received a copy of this story for an honest review.

I have to write this review very carefully because the first few attempts to review Bound by Prophecy (Prophecy #3)  I've caught myself including spoilers and the conclusion to the Prophecy Series should not be ruined. If you've already been introduced to the struggle of Gavin and Brooke, I think you're going to enjoy the solid end to their journey. If you have not picked up any of the Prophecy Series and are paranormal romance fan, do yourself a favor and get acquainted with Stevie J. Cole's fantatstic books ASAP.

What I Loved: I have a soft spot for epic love stories that have an edge of tragedy. A couple destined to love each other but their love damns not only them but the entire world – SOLD. The chemistry between Gavin and Brooke is strong and despite the dire consequences of their romance, I couldn’t help but root for them to have some level of happiness even if it was fleeting.

What I Didn’t Love: The Prophecy Series books are not kind to casual readers. You have to pay attention to the details and there were a few times I caught myself going back and double checking parts I had already read to make sure I hadn't missed something. This won't be a problem for lore junkies.

Favorite Quotes:

“Angel, demon, damned – I didn’t care anymore. All I cared was that I knew whatever cross he bore I now bore, and I had unfaltering faith that he would keep me safe.”

“Love. You Love her? Damned by the strongest emotion. The greatest wars have spawned from that wretched word.”

“Although eternity is nothing more than a cycle, we each determine our fate in the very beginning, and as unfortunate as it may seem – the devil’s fate never changes.”

Bound by Prophecy (Prophecy #3) should not be read as a stand-alone.  If you haven’t already read Bound by Sin (Prophecy #1) and Bound to the Fallen (Prophecy #2) you will need to check them out before starting Bound by Prophecy (Prophecy #3) or you will be lost.

Paranormal romance fans these is a series worth getting caught up in.

Happy reading.

Oh, what to say?

I love writing (obvious since I'm on here, right?) I don't have a specific genre - I just write whatever story manifests its self inside my brain.

Writing is like therapy. There is nothing else that I can lose myself in the way I can a book - the way a well written story can take you away from reality and leave you in a dazed state once you've finished... that is unbelievable. I can only hope that whoever reads my work will be sucked into the little world I've created on the pages.</ span>

Aside from writing, I love sloths and mythology. I kind of have a thing for vampires, because let's face it, something about the fact that they have to fight the urge to bite your neck and drain the life from you is rather sexy. I have an irrational fear of the zombie apocalypse. I honestly cannot imagine a more horrifying way to go than by being ripped to shreds by a mass of mumbling, decaying, and oozing corpses with clicking teeth. Ugh! I just shuddered typing it.

Now the boring basics: I grew up in the south listening to a ton of grunge rock (I'm sure if you read my books you'll be able to guess who my favorite bands are). I wanted to major in theatre and creative writing but my parents refused to let me. They told me those weren't "reliable professions". Reliable? I'd just rather do something I enjoy!

When I hit 30 I decided to start a bucket list and publishing a book was on the top (followed shortly by meeting a certain celebrity). Proud to report I've accomplished both.

So, here I am with my first novel and working on the second one. The journey of writing Bound to the Fallen has been amazing and allowed me to meet many wonderful individuals.

I hope if you read my work that you will enjoy it. After all, writing is the most amazing magic trick of all... it puts the reader in the mind of the writer (kind of creepy if you think about it).

I hope you love my little world as much as I do.
