*Blog Tour* Taming Lily (The Fowler Series #3) by Monica Murphy

We're celebrating the release of TAMING LILY by Monica Murphy!

TAMING LILY (The Fowler Sisters #3) by Monica Murphy
Adult Contemporary Romance

I’m in trouble. Again. And instead of facing my problems head-on, I’ve run away. Far away this time, and no one can catch me—not my two younger sisters, Violet and Rose, not my father, my grandmother, or that witch Pilar who wants to take control of my family’s cosmetics company. Now I’m in Hawaii, enjoying the sun and sand and water, where nobody knows the hot mess known as Lily Fowler. And I’m loving every minute of it.

But someone is watching me. Following me. He’s gorgeous. Soon we’re talking, and against all my instincts, I reveal bits and pieces of myself to Max. It feels good, though I know he can’t be the man for me. These sudden feelings we share are way too complicated, too fraught, too intense.

Then everything explodes and I’m forced to return home. My intentions have always been true, but now everyone’s mad at me. I don’t know who to turn to anymore . . . except to Max. He’s the one I want to trust. But I’m not so sure I should. Maybe it’s worth the risk—what-ifs be damned. . . .

I received a copy of this story for an honest review.

I'm a huge fan of the Fowler Sister series by Monica Murphy and was beyond excited for the final story focusing on media disaster Lily Fowler. Would this wild child burn all of her bridges or could an unexpected hero tame her into finding her very own happy ending.

What I Loved: I was completely taken by surprise with how much I enjoyed Lily's character. Author Monica Murphy does a stellar job of showing how Lily's persona is used as a shield to protect herself from any more pain and disappointment in life. I fell for her quickly and completely. Lily's journey is beautiful and I loved watching her character blossom. Also, it was a huge pay off for me to get more interaction between the Fowler Sisters in their third story. Each character is unique but I loved getting to see more of their familial bond.

What I Didn't Love: The villain in Taming Lily is the same villain from Owning Violet and Stealing Rose - scheming, vengeful, and slightly unhinged Pilar. After the build up of her hatred of all three of the Fowler Sisters (Violet, Rose, and Lily) I found the final confrontation with her a little anti-climatic.

Favorite Quotes:

"It's as if I've lived my entire life playing pretend and when shit finally got ugly and I couldn't run, as per my usual mode of operation, I didn't know how to handle it."

"Her head drops, her lips parting slightly, and I wonder if she can feel it. The attraction that vibrates between us, like a living, breathing thing."

"I may want to possess her but I would never want to hurt her, and she needs to know this. I hope she realizes my intent. I don't want to break her. Just... tame her. At least for tonight."

"The man is mean, in the absolute sexist way possible."

Taming Lily manages to be exciting while still carrying a touching message about needing to embrace your life, flaws and all, in order to find the happiness you deserve. You don't need to read the first two books in the series, Owning Violet and Stealing Rose, to enjoy Taming Lily but I highly recommend it. The Fowler Sisters are worth a read.

Happy reading
